An Alaskan Native caught a whooping 200lb halibut not just once but twice. The first time it got away broke the line and swam under the boat and it was caught again on the other side. If Melody Dalbecs fish is still the largest caught at the end of the Halibut Hullabulo in september she will win 15000 dollars and round trip tickets on Alaskan airlines.
So its not just commercial fisherman who have fun catching and eating Alaska’s wonderful fish!
