A small community in Togiak Southwest Alaska, is seeing a revival in its seafood industry thanks to forward thinking and grant money. The area harvests sockeye salmon, and it is hoped that after the expert training on marketing, economics, HACCP, first aid and processing. The the area will be able to produce sockeye on par with copper river salmon. Ensuring high quality and a new processing plant, with grant money it will bring jobs to the area and a new market for tasty Alaskan salmon.
