The following wonderful Asian Salmon recipe comes from Three Hungry Tummies a fantastic Australian Food Blog

serves 4
you’ll need;
  • 3 x 250 g of salmon fillet
  • 3 spring onions, cut into 3″ lengths, grilled
  • 2 tbs of grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup of mirin
  • 1/2 cup of Japanese soy
  • 2 tbs of sugar
  • dash of cooking sake
  • toasted sesame seeds

Place everything in a bowl except the toasted sesame seeds.

Place marinated salmon skin sides down onto a baking tray, bake in the oven (pre heated at 200 degrees C) for 12 minutes. Baste the salmon pieces with the marinate every 4 minutes. While the fish is resting, heat up the marinate and let it thicken a little.
Place fish on a plate, pour the sauce over. Drizzle with some toasted sesame seeds and garnish with the grilled spring onions.
