Pretty much everyone has someone on their gift list they either don’t know how to buy for because they have everything, or because you just don’t know what to buy for someone who has interests that are different than yours.

When it comes to picking gifts for cooking lovers, the problem can become much more challenging because of the sheer amount of product choices for people who love to cook. In addition, if you don’t know what kind of cooking they prefer, it can be even more challenging.

Don’t worry, I’m here to help! Both I and my girlfriend love to cook all sorts of different things and have quite a bit of cookware – especially the “essentials” that any cooking lover probably has. So the list below is essentially our wish-list when it comes to cookware and kitchen gadgets which we haven’t bought for ourselves and would be absolutely delighted to receive as a gift!

Immersion Blender

KitchenAid Immersion BlenderOne of the most useful small tools (or appliances) for anyone who really loves to cook is an immersion blender. Chances are though, most people haven’t purchased one for themselves. I’ve been wanting one for years but just never “got around to it” for whatever reason, probably because I have other things which I might buy for $100 and I don’t see the point in buying a $20 one which no doubt will not hold up well.

I would be absolutely delighted to receive this KitchenAid immersion blender (also called a hand blender) as a gift! KitchenAid is well known for making excellent quality kitchen appliances so you can be sure that this gift will be the kind that keeps on giving. Especially if you’re invited for dinner to enjoy what the gift recipient makes with it!

Le Creuset Cookware

Le Creuset Dutch OvenWe have quite a few different Le Creuset pots, pans and a couple dutch ovens and are extremely happy with them. The durability and usefulness of them are well known by any cooking lover and to receive one as a gift is extremely special! I’m not going to suggest the 20 piece set because I know for most people that is a very significant amount to spend for a gift, so just click the link below and see what fits your budget.

Some of our favorite and most used pieces are their grill pan for indoor grilling, the dutch oven for it’s versatility and a large stock pot for making soups and large batches of sauces. If the cooking lover on your list doesn’t have one already, the Le Creuset cast iron skillet is a great piece to start building a collection with.

Chef’s Knife

Chef's KnifeWhile we have quite a few good knives, we can always use another chef’s knife because they are all somewhat different. For example, a great forged stainless chef’s knife is great for cutting into heavier items and a much lighter, high-quality ceramic chef’s knife is a blessing when you’re chopping tons of vegetables as it helps to not wear your wrist out nearly as quickly due to its much lighter weight.

This is a great choice if you are shopping on a tighter budget, because some really good knives can be had starting from around $30 and or course can go way up from there. Consider a single really good knife instead of a set, because one excellent knife is much more valuable in the kitchen than 6 mediocre ones.

Ozeri Green Earth Non-Stick Pans

Ozeri Green Earth PansWe’ve had a number of different pans (and still do) over the years, but have to say for the money we really, REALLY like these Ozeri Green Earth pans. We also like their Stone Earth pans. Both are made of environmentally friendly materials which won’t leach into your food when you’re cooking with them, and they are priced incredibly reasonably.

The Ozeri Wok is on my personal wish list, so if your cooking lover likes making Asian food and doesn’t have a wok, that might be something to consider for them.

I hope this list has been helpful to give you some ideas to help pick a gift for that cooking lover on your list, but if you didn’t find anything specific you thought might be good for your gift, the consider one last thing:

Amazon.com Gift Card

Amazon Gift CardBut if you’re still struggling, I know one thing I ALWAYS LOVE is an Amazon Gift Card. While some people think it isn’t quite as “personal” of a gift I actually prefer it many times because it allows me to pick exactly what I want, whether that be cookware or something else for around the house like for the garden, my dog Murphy, or any other part of life.
