An Alaskan Airline flight loaded with 22,000 lb of Copper River Salmon took flight a couple of days ago. The Airline transports 700,000 lb of copper river salmon a year and over 20 million lb of seafood. The cargo plane even has a salmon painted on it!
The airline is proud to do its part in delivering fresh delicious seafood to the nation. The first to de plane was a 46lb salmon that was filleted and cooked by chefs in a cooking competition the winning recipe features shaved fennel lemon and alder smoked sea salt.
